Hello folks! As promised, here is the post on last weekend’s gig at the GoDown Arts Center. I am not a rhumba fan but I actually did enjoy the gig. It was lively, good smooth music and a very warm and involving crowd. I’m glad I did get to see Les Mangelepa live.
So, before the event started we goofed around and caught some shots
Met Mercy,a budding photographer
That golden light
That sunset was CRAZY!
Making silhouettes with Mercy
fighting away the sunset
Time for some HADOKEN!!
One lady you wouldn’t want to mess with
Attempts (miserable ones) at hadokken
Caught Brian chasing some good’ol sunset
As night fell,we proceeded to the concert
Meet the young curtain-raisers
Meet the drummer
They sure did know how to blow their own trumpets
Belting out some good oldies
Age is nothing but a number
New meets old
Reminiscing of his long musical journey perharps?
You could feel the emotion as he sang
The drummer hard pounding some beats
Microphone,why you so bokehlicious
As they wound up their perfomance
Sadly, curtains fell and the show ended
That had to be one of the most awesome days
It’s a miracle this came out decent…the lighting was pretty terrible
Shooting the shooter?
Making portraits. I liked the textured wall
I wonder what she was looking at up there
chasing some light
Did people do bulk orders of red outfits?
Finally, cheers to my always amazing crew who never dissapoint
Aaaaand that’s a wrap!
